Lincolnshire County Council Awards Reablement Service Contract to Libertas

Libertas Care Services has secured a new contract with Lincolnshire County Council worth £4m a year, following a competitive tender process. Libertas will provide reablement services to help people recovering from a hospital stay, people with disabilities or those who are frail or recovering from illness or injury may need help to regain the ability to perform their usual activities such as cooking, washing, dressing and getting around.  In partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, The Libertas team will provide over 2,500 hours per week of reablement support for adults to help them do things for themselves again and stay independent in their own home.

Quality of service delivery for this contract is key.  Libertas’ commitment to training, continuous development and service improvement, alongside a long-term strategy for investment in strong mobile IT solutions has led to recognition through ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 28001 (Health & Safety) quality standards in the provision of care and support services to people throughout the county,

Libertas will also continue to deliver over 5,000 hours per week of home care services for people in Lincolnshire who want help with staying independent in their own home – especially important since the Coronavirus outbreak that has been impacting the most vulnerable in our communities since March 2020.

Cllr Mrs Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Adult Care, said:

“It’s important that we do all we can to help some of our older, more vulnerable people get back on their feet after leaving hospital or recovering from illness. Quick, effective reablement support to help people regain their confidence with daily living tasks and being able to move around the home can make a massive difference mentally and improve health and wellbeing. It means people can maintain their independence and reduces the chances of a relapse which would put a further strain on hospital and other care services. We are looking forward to working with Libertas in continuing the strong support we provide for older people throughout the county.”

Tom Carter, Director, Libertas, said:

“We are delighted to have been awarded this new contract with Lincolnshire County Council. We look forward to working in partnership to deliver high quality services, secure value for money and achieve high levels of service user satisfaction for both the Council and its residents in Lincolnshire.”
