Did you know that Libertas has its own training room?
The training room is at the Fairfield Centre in Louth and provides support workers with vital moving
and handling skills.
The room is set out just like a bedroom in the Community and allows support workers to practice
using equipment such as hoists, slide sheets and rotundas. They are taught to move a person in the
safe and correct way. This is important for the wellbeing of both the support worker and the service user.
We have our own specialist in house trainer, Karen Bush .
She says “The training room is fantastic. We can offer training on a regular basis. It is always available. I can give one to one help and advice to anyone who is struggling.”
